Resting in Rain

It is quiet down here

Where they put me to rest.

As the soil poured on,

The rain cried for me–

While you were butterflying with others.

Rain falls often

On the black earth around me–

Reminds of times we walked

In the gardens,

Under the falling rain.

If I knew at the end,

You still forgot me–

As how you had

When I was still breathing,

Then I should’ve asked my heart

To rip out some muscles

For you to fall out

Through the blood I coughed

Each day, leading to the last beating.

Nowadays the rain continues falling

When I hear footsteps

Stumbled in mud.

At times I wish

They would leave me alone

As how everyone did

When I was still in flesh.

Besides the love for arts, I am fascinated with words that depicted the human mind and heart. I live in southern California and spend all free time when not working to dream, read, write, draw, and paint. Please note that all my writings on Wordpress are unedited since I write the words as they appear in mind at the moment.

  1. Beautifully composed. It touched my core . So much sadness and ache it stirred my soul ,my very being. Is it wonderful or an emotional sensitive expression from deep within?
